At a Glance:

We are looking for a new Supply Planner to join our busy Zurich team. The role will suit an operation professional possessing strong business acumen and a proven record of independently managing large amounts of qualitative and quantitative information into action-driven insights. You will work as part of a team to manage On’s sourcing and production supplier base, piloting the entire process of demand and capacity planning, tactical buying, production, and inventory management to ensure that the right products are in the right markets at the right time. The supply planning team works in close collaboration with other teams at On, especially demand planning, development, sales, strategic sourcing and logistics teams.

Your Team:

As a global Supply Chain team, we work closely to convert innovative product designs into commercialised products and deliver exceptional quality to our customers. We are focused, data-driven but also action-oriented! We build and follow processes, but we also continuously challenge the status quo and “industry standards”. We work closely with our Sales, Sourcing and Supply Planning teams to understand and balance our current supply and demand, and support our business’ global growth.

Your Mission:

• Own a product category or portfolio to closely monitor, analyze and mobilize inventory, strive for the balance among strong ratio of on-time order fulfilment, speedy inventory turnover and limited end-of-life stock


• Implement digital / data driven approach to Supply Chain to continuously improve the operation KPIs


• Provide valuable data driven insights to shape strategic roadmap and perform ad-hoc analysis supporting decision making in the daily business in Supply Chain


• Support cross-functional projects around planning, product launch, and operations improvements 

Your Story:

• Bachelor or Master degree, preferably Supply Chain management or Engineering


• True friend of data and processes


• 1-3 years’ of working experience, planner/buyer 


• Knowledge of digital solutions around planning, production and inventory management 


• You are able to think on your feet, always one step ahead and feel comfortable working in a dynamic and fast moving environment


• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills; you feel naturally comfortable with large amount of data and qualitative information, and are keen to dig out the “so-what” beneath the numbers and drive insights into actions accordingly


• Good interpersonal skills, you feel comfortable to independently manage internal and external teams and stakeholders on all levels and from different cultural backgrounds


• Proficiency in Excel is a must, strong modelling skills/ data visualization tool experience a plus 


• Experience or knowledge of machine learning and/or artificial intelligence, and their application in supply chain is an advantage


• Fluent English speaker
