Directly engage with existing customers and future customers to promote and sell Emerson Process Management System & Solutions products, solutions and services. The focus of the day to day activates will be for an agreed geographical area of DACH as well as with some assigned key customers.


PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Signs responsible to achieve Sales and Bookings Targets for Process Systems and Solutions (PSS), as well as Reliabilty Solutions (RS) for Switzerland.

  • Actively visits existing customers to promote Emerson Process Management PSS products and solutions to maintain and defend existing customer installed base.

  • Actively seeks new opportunities to sell PSS products and solutions to new customers / industries (customer acquisition) by identifying new possibilities and understanding customer requirements.

  • Special focus on seeking new opportunities to promote and sell ISA S95 Level 3 / 4 (Manufacturing Operations mgmt. / Business planning and logistics) oriented concepts and solutions

  • Reports to the Sales Manager on customer requirements, complains, business trends, possibilities and challenges in the market as well as competition and how thes ifluence the strategy

  • Develops opportunities and leads pursuits of large projects and, when appropriate leads capture teams to push active sales efforts

  • Negotiates with customer business contracts within the agreed Delegation of Authority – including discount, price and volume structures.

  • Establishes and develops actively customer contacts and keeps its record (CRM) up to date including and overview of the customers organisation

  • Maximizes both “face to face time” and other communication possibilities (telephone, e-mail, etc.) with         customers.

  • Entertain customers within the agreed guidelines of the company. This also includes in house visits as well as      seminars and trade shows.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE



  • Bachelor Degree (FH) or similar (HF) in a relevant field of studies (e.g. electrical engineering, automation)

  • Minimum 3 years work experience in electrical- / process- / automation engineering

  • In-depth knowledge of the Process Automation- and/or Lifescience Industry & Chemical/Specialty Chemical industries

  • Direct sales experience for projects and solutions, preferably in process control and automation, Digitalization, Datalake, and MES / Scheduling Solutions for several years

  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills with a strong business acumen

  • Result oriented, proactive, self driven and outgoing personality

  • Fluent in German and English Language, knowledge of a the French language would be an advantage

  • Team player to support and contribute maximizing PSS business in Switzerland

  • Travel up to 60% within Switzerland to visit customers

  • Demonstrated ability to target and convert accounts by using a combination of technical and business value propositions

  • Provide evidence of demanding sales results

  • Ability to communicate the business based value of automation.
