As the Head of Human Resources, Europe Oncology you will provide end to end Human Resources services directly to the Europe Commercial and Medical Oncology business, reporting to the head of HR, Oncology Business Unit. You will have full responsibility for designing and implementing company strategy relating to Human Resources throughout this organisational area and play a key role in the formulation of AstraZeneca policies and procedures. You will also manage specialist functions and generalists. The location for the role is at our Region Europe Oncology Headquarters, in Zug/Baar, Switzerland.
Role Responsibilities:
As Head of HR, Europe Oncology you will:
Develop and implement the people strategy for our European marketing companies, that is aligned with the organisation's vision and its current and long-term business objectives
Advise the business area executive team on HR issues in order to inform and support business planning/decision making activity
Support the business in communicating and enabling change within the business area and oversee the regional deployment of multiple core HR processes, including talent management, reward, performance management and recruitment, making recommendations for change where these do not align to business needs
Identify organisational needs, critical people and organisational capabilities required to support these. Develops and ensures the execution of actionable plans for the business area
Actively monitor and challenge the leadership team, providing effective coaching, to ensure that AZ values and performance standards are effectively reflected in recruitment, talent planning and reward decision-making
Financially plan and manage budgets for all areas of responsibility required for delivery of HR services
Build capability within the HR function to deliver against objectives mentoring and developing talent whilst working closely together with the local HR directors and centre of excellence in HR to assure alignment with the overall strategy and service delivery
Essential Requirements
Significant strategic HR Business Partnering experience, including managing complex business change
Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills
Proven orientation to results - ability to translation business strategy into actionable people strategy and execute successfully.
Technical HR knowledge / skills associated one or more of the following disciplines – Strategic Workforce Planning / Resourcing, Performance & Reward, ER, L&D, OD, organisational effectiveness and change.
Strong project management skills and able to demonstrate experience of managing complex HR projects through a complete project life-cycle
Experience managing a workforce in Europe including matrix management and influencing without authority
Experience in partnership with COEs to deliver on strategy and business plan
Self-starter with a drive to make things happen at pace
Strong emotional intelligence, listening, influencing and coaching skills
