THE POSITION

The successful candidate will be an experienced broker or sales trader or analyst with good general market knowledge and strong network on Rice markets: Physical or Derivatives

 Responsibilities include:

• Working with clients, market participants and brokers executing trades on behalf of clients via phone or computer


• Developing Options markets for SCB clients and new clients


• Develop SCB business on Agricultural assets: meeting with clients, educating them on the new product, working closely with exchanges


• Monitoring and analysing market performance and trends and communicating it to customers


• Building relationships with new and existing clients on a consistent basis to develop and maintain business relationships

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

The ideal candidate for this role will be creative and personable with strong communication skills allowing him/her to build strong business relationships with traders in the grains, feed stocks, bank, and fund sectors.

Additional skills and competencies which will be of great benefit for this position:

• Strong fundamental knowledge of commodity futures and options markets


• Well-developed client portfolio in Rice market


• Ability to effectively communicate complex market information, trading themes and data in an accurate and professional manner


• Proficient in Microsoft office suite with a strong working knowledge of Excel


• Fluent in business English


• Fluency in any of the following languages will be an advantage: German, French, Russian, Thai


• Motivated, self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit


• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise workflow


• Team player, who works well within a group environment

QUALIFICATIONS and experiences

• Business school or universities degrees qualified


• 5+ years of experience in the Rice or Agricultural industry


• At least a couple of years’ experiences working in brokering, sales, trading or operations


• Experience and understanding in futures order execution in either CME or Euronext


• Experience and understanding in Physical Rice market
