Hardware Reliability Engineer

By now our customers have grown from survey and mapping professionals to scientists, humanitarian organizations and environmentalists. They fly WingtraOne more than a thousand hours on a monthly basis. And we believe this is only the beginning—together we can achieve so much more.

You will be part of our highly cross-functional engineering team, getting deep insights into how every aspect of our products work. You will be working closely with both the engineering team, identifying and tackling the root cause of issues, as well as translating these findings into solutions for our customers in collaboration with the customer team.

Responsibilities




    • Identify issues based on information collected by our customer support team as well as our internal testing team (flight logs, failure description, returned hardware).

    • Run in-depth investigations together with design owners to identify root causes of newly identified issues.

    • Become a go-to expert in the engineering team on known failure modes and associated symptoms.

    • Categorize issues to maintain an overview and take data-driven decisions.

    • Define solutions that can be systematically be applied to recurring issues.

    • Develop tools that enable efficient investigations (test benches, tools for failure induction).

    • Write software checks to run on flight logs to automatically identify and categorize issues.



Requirements




    • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in an engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical).

    • Ability to maintain an overview over a large number of subsystems, intended behavior and potential issues.

    • Structured mindset - talented at bringing structure into hard to structure data.

    • Basic programming skills for data analysis (MATLAB / Python / similar).

    • Interest in statistical analysis of datasets.

    • Teamplayer with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    • Honest, humble, and self-motivated.

    • Fluent communication in English (oral & written) .
