Junior Account Specialist (40%-60%)

To support our constant growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Account Specialist to join our Institutional Open Access Program (IOAP) team. The position of Junior Account Specialist is a part-time and permanent position based in our city center office in Basel, Switzerland.

As Junior Account Specialist you will:

• Contact institutions about the IOAP. Main Focus: German-speaking countries


• Assist institutions with the renewal of existing agreements as well as the signing and creation of new institutional memberships


• Support institutions with questions related to the submission workflow, IOAP dashboard and their publication data.


• Act as an intermediary, explaining and resolving issues between MDPI Billing and institutions.

Requirements: 

• Native German Speaking, Confident with English


• Background or experience in information sciences, librarianship or publishing of advantage.


• Interest in academic publishing and Open Access


• Good communication and interpersonal skills
