Job Description


Specialist required to support the operation, planning and execution of the IT strategies related to infrastructure in the country, with a focus on our Innovation & Development Hub in Zurich. Makes sure to comply with the country regulations as well as global policies and standards pertaining to IT infrastructure.  Through effective communications with platform owners, a translation of business needs will be conveyed to allow for a right sized infrastructure.


The IT infrastructure comprises laptop/desktop, mobile devices, networks, security, servers and telephony throughout all business divisions. Close cooperation with IT colleagues as well as the business will be required to deliver IT infrastructure capable to support the business needs. Full responsibility for IT infrastructure from demand, planning all the way through realization of the infrastructure programs.


Primary job responsibilities include:



  • Champion the One IT Operating Model and applies the Model in daily work


  • Ensure effective collaboration with all IT colleagues on and above site


  • Operate and implement all IT infrastructure in scope, including appropriate application of globally defined processes around Configuration Management, Change Management, and Incident/Problem Management


  • Implement a sustainable service model for all Infrastructure deployed, consisting of end user IT devices as well as back-office infrastructure locally implemented


  • Support all IT infrastructure projects on site


  • Provide desk side support to all users on site


  • Responsible for HW stock maintenance, planning and HW purchasing


  • Share knowledge and enforces compliance with IT systems development lifecycle



Experience/Technical Skills:



  • 5+ years relevant experience


  • Relevant work experience to the role (Training, Communications, Change Management)


  • Excellent German and English language written and verbal communications skills


  • Strong understanding of the IT service catalogue and the roles & responsibilities attributed to all IT departments wherein The Company operates


  • Demonstration of creative problem solving in response to position IT as a tool for supporting the business


  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment


  • Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills


  • Understanding characteristics of the current IT trends and ability to actively identify opportunities for improvement


  • Outgoing with an ability to communicate complex, technical & non-technical information in a clear, concise manner


  • Strong team work ethic and sound organizational skills for functioning with a high degree of independence on projects with minimal supervision



Education level:



  • MSc Degree or BSc Degree or Advanced Vocational Education (Eidg. Fachausweis (System & Netzwerktechniker), Eidg. Diplom (IT Manager or Wirtschaftsinformatik)) with relevant work experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
