Job Description

Celerion Switzerland AG is part of the global Celerion Inc. With our European GLP-certified bioanalytical facility located in Fehraltorf / Zürich, as a contract research organization (CRO) we are supporting the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries during the development of new drugs and products.

 

Due to the continued expansion of our successful bioanalytical laboratory we are looking for a

 

Technical Director Molecular & Cell Biology (MCB) 100%

 

Main responsibilities

• Coordinate/contribute to the execution of strategic initiatives, focused on improving business


• Define overall direction, strategy, processes and systems for MCB to meet 21st century laboratory demand and to maintain Celerion’s competitiveness in the CRO industry


• Provide technical/scientific guidance and leadership to study teams, as well as other areas of the company, support Business Development associates as a bioanalytical subject matter expert


• Support the installation of our new lab and bring your own ideas into it


• Manage and lead the MCB team (currently 2 method development scientists with growth plan double the group in the upcoming months)


• Client facing role, covering all aspects of interaction from initial contact to project delivery


• Co-ordination with internal QA Unit and external authorities on audits, policies and procedures

 

Job Requirements

Our requirements

• Successfully completed study (university or college of higher education) in immunology, molecular biology, or related subject, PhD is an advantage


• Extensive experience and knowledge within the area of Molecular Biology, Immunology, and Cell based assays


• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (principally FDA and EMA) for Advanced Therapeutics


• Previous leadership experience is a must


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and at least good skills in German


• Experienced in performing presentations, leading meetings, time management, planning, budgeting and negotiating


• Ability to work independent with minimal supervision, demonstrates self-awareness, respect for cultural diversity and used to work in a matrix structure
