DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)

We are looking for you as a DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) in St.Gallen Switzerland or Freiburg i.Br Germany (alternative Home Office in the wonderful nature around lake Constance DE/AT/CH/LI)




Your tasks:




    • Write automation code to build scalable, reliable and secure cloud infrastructure

    • Act as engineering liaison between DevOps, customers, sales, web development, product management, QA and other groups

    • Set up infrastructure, tools and framework to streamline the development cycle

    • Spread and seed DevOps best practices across our company

    • On-call support for business operations



What we expect from you:




    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent work experience.

    • 3+ years of experience on enterprise-level Linux system administration

    • Strong networking, security, scripting, log analysis skills and systems performance skills.

    • Significant experience on design and configuration of continuous integration and deployment tools such as Ansible, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, Gitlab, Gerrit, Vagrant.

    • A good understanding of mixed architecture of IaaS solutions such as Azure, AWS and OpenStack. Infrastructure-as-code is a plus.

    • Good understanding of web application architectures (web servers, relational / non-relational databases, caching tiers, fault-tolerant design).

    • Professional certifications are welcome but not mandatory.

    • Professional level of English is a must.

    • Solid communications, team working and interpersonal skills, as you will frequently work with other technical and non-technical partners as a representative of our organization.

    • Multi-tasking, stress tolerant, pro-active, methodical and innovative working practice, good time management.
