We’re looking for a Documentation Specialist for SonarQube, our enterprise solution for code quality and security. The SonarQube team is a multi-talented team, composed of developers, designers, infrastructure engineers, and documentation specialists. We're all dedicated to making SonarQube the best product for developers who care about their code, and documentation is an important part of this. As the SonarQube team continues to grow, the demand for high-quality documentation also grows.


On a daily basis, you will:



  • Help drive the overall documentation strategy

  • Structure and write documentation for SonarQube 

  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers during sprints for continuous documentation delivery

  • Maintain the documentation and continuously improve the quality and user experience with the documentation.

  • Engage with both our user community and the Services team to understand user needs.

  • Play a key role in the team in identifying creative approaches or solutions and actively promote collaboration and teamwork to ensure the best team results

  • Help write copy in the SonarQube interface. 


The skills you will demonstrate:



  • High English proficiency. We've standardized on American English, so that variant is preferred but not required

  • Minimum of 2 years of technical writing preferred

  • The ability to explain complex ideas in an easy-to-understand way.

  • Experience with agile practices and principles

  • Experience with a docs-as-code approach a plus

  • Experience writing copy for a UI a plus

  • Open-minded and positive can-do attitude

  • Lifelong learner, excited to explore new approaches

  • Passionate about tech and geek culture

  • Fluid, laid-back writing style

  • Pragmatic approach to perfection and iterative improvement processes

  • Willingness to challenge the status quo and receptive to feedback
