Similar to a Senior Solution Sales Specialist, this person will provide support during the generation of sales leads, enablement of sales people, pre-sales engagements with prospects and generating new ideas e.g., as a technical evangelist for marketing activities, including speaking/presenter engagements at conferences, conventions, user groups, webinars, etc.
Usually, they take responsibility for business opportunities that have already been qualified by Customer Business Development Managers. Together, they work to identify the customer's actual goals and needs as well as decision structures, preferences regarding time and budget, as well as the competitive situation. As the Technical Evangelist for ONEImpact, they will also work in some instances on opportunities that have been brought in by partners or by other local Solution Specialists.
Designed for people with nonprofit industry expertise, this role will offer a unique opportunity for community engagement and collaboration across many cultures and lines of business. The intentions and actions should be rooted in the desire to build transformative, customer-centric relationships across our key global nonprofits, partners and people, based in mutual, continued success.
Thanks to their excellent subject matter expertise, (Senior) Solution Sales Specialists design an ideal solution for the customer based on the existing service portfolio. This also includes the initial estimate and structure of prices that they present to customers in an initial proposal. If this proposal is accepted, they will make an appropriate statement of work. The Technical Evangelist will take this one step further where applicable to think outside the box and find solutions that might be needed but that do not yet exist and help bring these to fruition.
The Evangelist remains responsible until the business opportunity is contracted and bring their knowledge to every activity. They then ensure a smooth handover to the service delivery teams. They will also continue to support afterward if necessary, e.g., as part of the ONEImpact loop of giving back to society.
