Principal Optical Engineer

and England. At our facility in Switzerland we develop and produce short-pulse lasers for a wide range of
applications.

a fast-growing company, we are looking for a motivated and talented Principal Engineer whose contribution
and commitment will have an impact in development of next generation ultrafast products and supporting
NPI and production for smooth operations.
Job Summary
You will be part of our R&D team.
The suitable candidate’s main tasks will consist of development of solid-state based and fiber based ultrafast
lasers and amplifiers as well as related areas, and acting as general support for out-of-the-box issues in
production including, but not limited to:

• Leading of internal and external R&D projects of ultrafast lasers


• Hands-on work in laboratory


• Systematic project documentation


• Supporting / leading of other team members in R&D


• Input into roadmap discussions


• Support in transfer of alpha prototypes into production


• Participation in New Product Introduction process


• Engineering input and support to Production


• Cross-site interaction where needed

Qualifications

• PhD in Laser Physics



• 5 years experiences in development of ultrafast lasers



• Solid state-lasers, fiber lasers, amplifiers, nonlinear optics, electro-optics


• A good understanding of industrial laser product requirements


• Project management


• Willing to work in a clean room environment


• Able to cope with changing priorities


• Self-motivated team-player


• Attention to detail and commitment to deliver high quality products on time


• Fluent in English
