Internship Engineer - Wireless Connectivity Solutions - (2100053)

ON Semiconductor’s Wireless Connectivity Solutions R&D center is located in Dubendorf, Zurich.

Our innovative low-power radio and micro-controller technologies for the Internet of Things enable many applications. Our solutions are used by our partners in satellite communication, home automation, sensor networks, alarm systems, metering applications, and in weather stations along with many other wireless applications.
 

We are looking for an intern to join our Applications & Marketing team.

The candidate`s functions will involve:

• Developing reference designs and printed circuit boards (PCB) for our current and next generation wireless products;

• Creating interactive demos with custom firmware to be released as code examples and libraries;


• Supporting the product development team in the lab evaluation of RF parameters and performance to be collected in the datasheets.

 

This is a challenging opportunity to gain experience in multi-disciplinary activities and teams. The candidate will work on state-of-the-art technologies in a stimulating international and unique environment. The candidate will build experience in designing high quality PCB for RF applications, in programming microcontrollers, and will familiarize with the measurement lab equipment.

 

 

Qualifications

 

Required skills

Currently attending a Master program in electrical and electronic engineering, communication systems, computer science, or equivalent.

Knowledge in one or more of the following fields would be an asset:

• Basic knowledge of RF microelectronics and IC manufacturing;


• Knowledge of CAD tools for printed circuit design  (Altium, Eagle, …)


• Experience with programming languages (C, C++, Python, …);


• Familiar with lab measurement methods and equipment;

Languages: English (Advanced)
