Your responsibility

• Underwrite Industrial property and Engineering accounts and build up own portfolio, according to Helvetia Group Underwriting Directives and Guidelines


• Analyze and evaluate risks, both from a technical and insurance standpoint


• Negotiate terms and conditions with brokers and clients


• Develop an extensive knowledge of the broker network with a special focus on the French market


• Attend national and international client and broker meetings (on place and virtually) as well as site visits when necessary


• Close cooperation with our claims department for large and complex claims

Your qualification

• University degree in engineering. A further commercial qualification (e.g. MBA) would be advantageous


• Ideally, you are a Risk Engineer or a Loss Adjuster willing to develop as an Underwriter, or an Underwriter with a few years of experience in Industrial Property


• Strong business acumen, in-depth knowledge of industry processes and insurance industry


• Proficiency in English and French, German language would be advantageous


• You tackle challenges with passion and demonstrate high expectations of your own performance


• You are able to develop stable partnerships across departmental boundaries and cooperate with internal and external stakeholders to meet common goals


• You have a positive, agile and team-oriented approach
