Global Market Launch Leader

Job Description


1. Leads market Launch strategy and execution for a product extension, market and/or region. Host market launch team meetings, as well as topic specific meetings as required. Ensure that project milestones are monitored and that risks are flagged to Management. Drive issue resolution & alignment of activites within the project launch plan.


2. Ensure that the correct supply set-up is in place in support of market launch (incl. inventory strategy, SKU Optimization; regulatory variation implementation strategy, manufacturing strategy, distribution strategy)


3. Lead discussions on market specific requests, and drive the creation of GMP compliant solutions that meet market requirements. Ensure that non-standard / new solutions are embedded into current business processes. (e.g. new pack cluster proposals, 3D matrix, country single sourcing requirements)


4. Maintain Country launch dashboards for a specific brand and ensure communication to stakeholders on product launch status. Identify project risks, and propose mitigation options.


5. Ensure compliance. Work with Quality Assurance to promote and maintain compliance. Exceptions handling/Investigate exceptions, determine root causes, implement CAPAs and drive closure.


6. Lead continuous improvement projects across Global Commercial Supply Chain to drive expanded capabilities and improve the efficiency of existing launch processes. Provide supply chain process analyses and identify potential solutions in support of improvement projects.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or similar education required

  • Lean Six Sigma/Green Belt is an asset

  • Minimum 3 years working experience in a Supply Chain Planning role, Manufacturing coordination role, or NPI Project Management role with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry

  • Cross Functional Project Management experience

  • Experience within an international and controlled environment is required

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills (excellent written and verbal communicator with the ability to articulate recommendations and key decision points to senior management)

  • Experience in reducing complex subjects to key points. Ability to work in fast paced environments and great organizational skills to effectively balance a broad range of projects and tasks in parallel

  • Exceptional team player (ability to direct and participate in cross functional and management teams). Ability to develop a strong network across the company.

  • Willingness to   grow influencing and negotiation skills to attain buy-in from different stakeholders and decision makers

  • Project Management experience and ability to work in cross-functional teams

  • Experience with Supply Chain and Manufacturing planning tools, preferably:

    • Oracle, Hyperion, Business Object, TrackWise, APO, Manugistics, JDE

  • The Market Launch leader is responsible for market launch strategy and execution for a product extension, market and/or region

  • The role follows product market launch plans based on inputs from PO&T functional teams (incl. lead time commitments, artwork creation / production at risk, Labeling Change Control Strategy, etc.)

  • The role ensures that project milestones are monitored, and coordinates Finished Goods launch activities through close collaboration with key stakeholders. Drives cross functional alignment and alignment on timeline commitments across Commercial, S&OP,  Manufacturing, SC Planning, Logistics, GCC Hub, and Artwork Services.

  • The role has insight into the end-to-end supply chain and drives issue resolution & alignment for activities within the project launch plan.

  • Create solution proposals for new product / market requests that do not fit within established business processes (e.g. new pack cluster proposals, 3D matrix, country single sourcing requirements)

  • Manages   Product / Country launch dashboards, and ensures that risks and mitigation options are flagged to management.

  • This position is able to deal with high level of ambiguity and complexity, anticipates potential risks, develops corresponding contingency plans, and is capable of acting proactively in order to support strategic and complex decisions. The influencing and negotiation skills are important for this role as interactions and buy-in from different stakeholders and decision makers are key.

  • Advanced knowledge of the end-to-end supply chain across departments is required to highlight and anticipate risks and opportunities for supply chain planning.
