DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an Opentext Backend Engineer to come on board and support our operation in Zürich. Our client is a truly global, diverse and multicultural organization; you will be working with colleagues that are distributed around the globe on complex and challenging solutions and projects that are using top-notch technologies.

Responsibilities



  • Analyze business requirements and design and implement solutions as defined by the systems development life cycle (SDLC)

  • Test unit and integration of components for integration into larger subsystems

  • Analyze and resolve defects and deploy fixes to production systems

  • Liaise with Business Analysts to support the requirements engineering process as well as conduct; effort estimates for the respective project's engineering, testing and integration tasks

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to work towards global IT solutions

  • Analyze errors in systems and define corrective measures


Requirements



  • Experience with Archive storage solutions

  • Experience with OpenText (CS, LEA, LES and OAS)

  • Unix (Solaris, Linux) system engineering skills, incl. packaging and configuration management

  • Perl and Shell scripting experience

  • Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL) experience

  • Experience with data management and data migration is a plus

  • TSM, SAN/NAS, Java/J2EE (especially EJB and Struts)

  • Analytical and logical, eager to learn new technologies

  • Able to improve older code bases, as well as apply modern best practices to new projects

  • Curious and collaborative, comfortable working independently, as well as in a team

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
