DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an Opentext Backend Engineer to come on board and support our operation in Zürich. Our client is a truly global, diverse and multicultural organization; you will be working with colleagues that are distributed around the globe on complex and challenging solutions and projects that are using top-notch technologies.
Responsibilities
Analyze business requirements and design and implement solutions as defined by the systems development life cycle (SDLC)
Test unit and integration of components for integration into larger subsystems
Analyze and resolve defects and deploy fixes to production systems
Liaise with Business Analysts to support the requirements engineering process as well as conduct; effort estimates for the respective project's engineering, testing and integration tasks
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to work towards global IT solutions
Analyze errors in systems and define corrective measures
Requirements
Experience with Archive storage solutions
Experience with OpenText (CS, LEA, LES and OAS)
Unix (Solaris, Linux) system engineering skills, incl. packaging and configuration management
Perl and Shell scripting experience
Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL) experience
Experience with data management and data migration is a plus
TSM, SAN/NAS, Java/J2EE (especially EJB and Struts)
Analytical and logical, eager to learn new technologies
Able to improve older code bases, as well as apply modern best practices to new projects
Curious and collaborative, comfortable working independently, as well as in a team
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
