Bank Lombard Odier & Co Ltd in Geneva is looking for a candidate to fulfil the following mission statement:


YOUR MISSION:


Siting in the 2nd line of defence within the Information Risk and Data Protection Office:



  • Own and keep under constant review the Group’s data protection framework, update policies and guidance, privacy notices, work instructions, centralise processes and put in place robust and time-bound remedial plans where necessary.

  • Develop and maintain relevant data privacy training.

  • Partner with all key business areas to ensure data privacy issues are considered at the outset of new projects, products and initiatives in line with the Privacy by design and by Privacy by default principles.

  • Engage with Procurement, Legal and IT Security teams to support the business in the security and privacy due-diligence of third parties.

  • Support the business in the maintenance of the Records of Processing Activities and in the execution of Data Privacy Impact Assessments.

  • Maintain the personal data breach register and follow-up on remedial plans.

  • Help manage the data privacy network across all Group offices and entities.

  • Coordinate the handling of Subject Requests such as, access requests, withdrawal of consent requests, erasure requests etc.

  • Monitor the industry landscape to keep visibility on evolutions, trends, and best practices related to Data Privacy.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and develop and implement a robust compliance plan, report on compliance status.

  • Assists internal and external audits, regulators or other relevant stakeholders during compliance reviews.


DESIRED PROFILE:



  • University Degree in the field of Information Security, Technology, IT Audit or Risk Management and/or law.

  • CIPM, CIPP/E, CIPT, CDPSE certifications are a clear advantage.

  • 4 to 5 years of experience in the operationalisation of data privacy frameworks.

  • Experience in the banking industry is an advantage.

  • Expertise in Swiss and European data protection laws and practices and an in-depth understanding of the GDPR.

  • Have the ability to develop awareness and communications at all levels within the Group.

  • Strong attention to detail and high work standards, excellent writing, organisational and problem solving skills.

  • Strong client service orientation.

  • Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines and manage own caseload.

  • Good communication skills, including the ability to liaise with people across the business

  • Ability to work well in both a team and individually. Keen to develop and use initiative.

  • Swiss domicile.
