The Center of Excellence Cleaning Validation is responsible for providing scientific evidence that the cleaning process for product contacting production equipment is capable to remove all residues to ensure that no cross-contaminations occur. Therefore, we are a unit of 25 people working on the concept, limit calculations based on toxicological data, sampling and analyzing samples in our labs using e.g. HPLC, ELISA, TOC and MS techniques. We are addressing cleaning validation activities for biologics sterile production, solids production and packaging. In the Center of Excellence Cleaning Validation in Kaiseraugst you have numerous opportunities to get to know the pharmaceutical production as all production value streams in Basel / Kaiseraugst are our internal customers.
You support the cleaning validation team in the Engineering, Science and Technology (ES&T) department through your work on daily tasks and current projects. You will learn how to handle and implement the extensive GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) regulations in the pharmaceutical industry.
Your main tasks include:
• Maintaining and optimizing a self-coded sampling and performance tracking IT tool based on JAVA Script
• Independently bringing this sampling and performance tracking IT tool on the Oracle APEX platform in close collaboration with Roche IT (this project / thesis will be the main task)
• Troubleshooting production processes, carrying out root cause analyzes, creating product quality impact assessments
• Support with GMP, validation and optimization activities

You are enrolled at a university or university of applied sciences and are studying computer / data science or in pharmaceutical, scientific or technical fields with knowledge in coding. You are also very interested in gaining insights into the pharmaceutical industry and actively participating in our team and using and passing on your knowledge as part of a 6-12-month internship in a modern work environment.
Your qualifications:
• Experience in Java Script
• Experience in Oracle APEX is an advantage
• Team-minded and decisive personality

• Reliable and careful way of working
• Excellent English and good German skills
