The team develops and maintains its own Engineering Data Analytics Platform e-DAP, used for industrial process representation as Digital Twins. Its aims to enable operators perform operational maintenance, data analysis and treatment, operation optimization and product prediction.

DEVELOPMENT & PROJECT ENGINEER 80-100% (f/m) – ZURICH

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Platform design and architecture on Cloud Azure, including:
  - Frontend and Backend development
  - Distributed service-based application architecture
  - Networking
  - Cloud development
  - Database management


• Development of IoT applications


• Development of API’s connecting to external data Brokers


• Implementation of advanced ML algorithms into e-DAP

YOUR PROFILE:

• Master degree in Informatics, Computer Science, or alternatively in Applied Mathematics but with Major in Data Science.


• Advanced IT (hard and soft) skills are required in order to maintain the platform and ensure diligent support for our clients. This includes :
  
  
  
  • Programming in advanced languages (C++; Python: NumPy, Pandas, Django; Java; JavaScript)
  
  
  • Management of PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases and Cloud data
  
  
  • System architecture (Kubernetes)
  
  
  • Networking (NginX, SSL, WebSockets, REST)
  
  
  • Azure storage systems (Blob/File storage)
  
  
  • Knowledge of Public HPC Clouds is also important
  
  
  • Knowledge of IoT applications (e.g. MQTT, Azure IoT Hub, DevOps, Azure MLOps) is a plus
