This is a role within our engineering team, responsible for routine daily testing of our products under development.In order to continue to be one of the most reliable solutions for the drone surveying and mapping industry the continuous testing, development and quality assurance of our product is of the highest priority. Therefore, in this role you will work closely with other colleagues concerned with quality assurance, to ensure that the full envelope of user behaviour is tested and refined prior to product release. Practically, you will work mostly outdoors, where you will perform hundreds of flights per week under varying conditions and locations to help us achieve the highest levels of development for our products. You will be a key participant in the development process by clearly communicating issues to experienced developers that have been identified and investigated in the field.
Responsibilities
Handle and perform daily tests on our products, both in the field and in the office, including tracking of findings, bugs and incidents
Process flight data using photogrammetry software and ensure workflow sanity
Take ownership of internal testing apparatus and improvement of testing conditions and testing workflow
Communicate across teams such as Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering and the Customer team to create specific tests in accordance with quality assurance objectives
Proactively seek to perform possible user workflows and explore how they map onto the current usability of the product
Be the point of contact for different external stakeholders at various testing locations around Switzerland
Supervise student testers in the field
Requirements
Favours working outdoors all year-round rather than working in an office
Good time management and project management skills
Sees daily challenges as opportunities that invigorate energy
Willingness to engage in repetitive or mundane tasks to qualify high quality assurance
Swiss drivers license (or permission to drive in Switzerland)
Excellent communication skills in English and German
