Job summary

The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Senior Telco Account Solutions Architect to join us in Switzerland, preferably in Bern or Zurich. In this role, you will jointly work with the Key Account Manager and together build the Account Exec Team. You will be a leading part of the local Telco Sales teams to develop and promote opportunities and business within key Tier-1 telco accounts based in Switzerland and Austria. You will help your customers to invest in an infrastructure that will give them maximum flexibility and allow them to make their IT and telecommunications infrastructure-services faster and reliable by engaging, meeting, and demonstrating to the telco accounts that Red Hat solutions match their needs and expectations. You will collaborate with the Business Development team, account managers, as well as solutions and domain architects, to define plans, tactics, and strategies to support customers on the technical solutions from Red Hat applied for telcos. 

Primary job responsibilities

• Evangelize the value of Red Hat Solutions


• Work with the Key Account Manager and collaborate with the extended Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) team to focus on the best manner to address your customers’ needs


• Define, document, present, and demonstrate how the Red Hat product portfolio can enable next-generation IT and network architectures for telecommunications providers, in the network functions virtualization (NFV) and in the operations support system (OSS) or business support system (BSS) space


• Partner with local teams to address telco customers and partners and their technical network teams; work with the sales team to gain market share 


• Work with the ecosystem to position Red Hat as a key strategic vendor for telecommunications and NFV infrastructures, e.g,. independent software vendors (ISVS), network equipment providers (NEPs), telecommunications, cloud providers, integrators, and hardware vendors


• Deliver expert-level presentations and demonstrations for Red Hat products and solutions in the context of telco IT operations teams and networks 


• Design value-driven architectures and present the application and return on investment (ROI) of those technologies


• Share knowledge and findings to allow team members to learn from your successes and mistakes

Required skills

• Excellent conceptual skills that can combine the complexity of today's telco environment with the power of Red Hat software capabilities to define the potential of next-generation service provider and related ecosystem environments


• Extensive industry knowledge and market insights, with a good understanding of current, new, and future technologies and business directions


• Build and maintain management and C-level relationships with Red Hat’s customer and partners that result in deeper loyalty to Red Hat and broader adoption of Red Hat’s solutions


• Solid skills in IT technologies used in telcos like virtualization, cloud, container platforms, microservices


• Understanding of the existing and new technologies used by the telecommunications industries like 5G, IoT, SDN, NFV, OSS, and BSS


• Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills in German and English
