Job Description


Reporting to the Product Research Leader, you will represent R&D to support the development and implementation of the brands’ innovation plan. You will partner with the Program Manager, the Marketing partners and all the R&D functions on the Global Innovation strategy and the construction of the pipeline, by translating markets, consumers and scientific insights into winning innovations.


Job Responsibilities



  • Partners with the Product Research Leader, the Program Managers, the GBU Marketing and the Regions on the innovation strategy and construction of the pipeline

  • Identifies, assesses, and drives forward key innovation opportunities for the brands

  • Participates to the development of Innovation Briefs

  • Performs Competitive Assessments

  • Influences on Technologies and Ingredients strategy

  • Performs Due Diligence on licensing and Business Development opportunities when applicable

  • Leads the technical reviews across R&D functions on assigned projects and ensures that all relevant technical deliverables are successfully met prior to stage gate meetings

  • Elevates issues/risks as appropriate to R&D Leadership Team for resolution alignment and support


Minimum Requirements



  • Master’s degree in Formulation, Chemistry or equivalent

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in designing, developing, and launching innovative cosmetics or OTC products in an international FMCG / pharmaceutical company

  • Formulation or product research experience in OTC / OTC Monography is preferred

  • Medical Devices experience is a strong asset

  • Experience in working within multifunctional teams in a global environment

  • Capacity to challenge and influence while collaborating with multiple stakeholders

  • Ability to manage ambiguity, fast-changing environment and problem solving

  • Innovative thinking

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills at all levels within the organization, strong technical writing capability

  • Fluent in English
