Join us as a Contract Manager and support our project execution within the Business Unit Grid Integration. With analytical, hands-on and autonomous approach, you contribute to the successful performance of Contract Management. Your responsibilities

• Performing the overall identification of opportunities for outgoing claims (Customers, Suppliers/Subcontractors and Consortium Partners), developing claim strategies, preparing notifications/correspondence and related documentation


• Performing the overall analysis of incoming claims (Customers, Suppliers/Subcontractors and Consortium Partners), development of defense strategies, preparing response/correspondences, counterclaims, and related


• Performing the preparation and conduction of risks and opportunities analysis/presentations, preparation of strategy papers, definition of overall project claim strategies


• Conducting contract and claims negotiations and settlements together with the project management


• General advice and pro-active support project management, site management, procurement/supply department and other project team members in the execution of Customer Contracts, Consortium Agreements, Subcontracts/Supply contracts to secure ABB’s contractual rights and entitlements


• Preparation of project related amendments, change orders and other contract related documents


• Double checking terms and conditions of Customer's contract, Subcontracts, Supply contracts and Consortium Agreements at tendering

Your background

• Degree in law or equivalent


• Extensive experience in Contract Management functions and processes in project execution of EPC energy projects or similar industrial plants


• Contract Managers with Site Contract Management experience of more than 5 years will be preferred


• Experience in working within internationally staffed teams and with international contractual partners


• Solid experience change management, claim management and contract-related legal issues and the possible effects in the relevant areas of responsibility regarding proposal stage and/or project execution


• Behavior and dealing with foreign cultures (Ethical Conduct)


• Systematic and structured work style


• Ability to negotiate in English and German language
