Job Description


The Digital and Branding Manager is part of Amcor’s Corporate Communications team and enhances the company’s reputation driven by its brand and its unique commercial value proposition. Through best-in-class digital strategy and execution this role helps the company achieve its short-term objectives and long-term Winning Aspiration.


S/he is a well-rounded communications generalist with a strong expertise in brand management and digital communications. S/he combines deep functional knowledge with business and commercial acumen to provide communications support and advice to colleagues across multiple levels of the organization, including senior leaders. 


Working closely with the director of external communications, the manager will liaise with internal stakeholders across the commercial, business and marcom teams on global and business group level to drive strategic brand positioning and digital story-telling in direct support of the company growth. 


S/he will take the lead in ensuring the Amcor brand is maintained (e.g., through consistent application of brand guidelines) and enhanced (e.g., through development of brand assets). Other responsibilities include hands-on leadership and project management of re-branding activities, brand management in key external applications, leading and creating designs for the company’s annual and sustainability reports and owned social media (e.g., Amcor.com, LinkedIn).


S/he will drive our digital strategy and execution in close partnership with the marcom/comms teams, optimize Amcor’s online tools and channels to better support future growth and use regular outside perspectives and benchmarks to create a best-in-class digital experience for all key audiences.  



Principal Accountabilities


•    Be a communications strategic advisor and solution provider for business leaders
•    Develop strong relationships with business/functional leaders and other colleagues to facilitate effective strategic communications
•    Ensure all communications materials and activities protect and enhance the Amcor brand at every opportunity
•    Develop a website and social media roadmap to support the company objectives, in cooperation with the relevant internal and external stakeholders and in partnership with the comms director
•    Be a champion in online metrics, data interpretations and connected optimization of ROI of Amcor’s online presence and campaigns
•    Lead design and assets works for key company reports and campaigns
•    Create and innovate Amcor’s brand assets; lead and coordinate rebranding activities
•    Contribute to identifying, sharing and developing best practices – individually, and as a Global Communications function
•    Create written and audiovisual content and communications plans
•    Support significant leadership events (eg, annual senior leadership conference)
•    Ownership of other project assignments – e.g. e-commerce and smart packaging storytelling


 


Formal Qualifications And Experience


•    Native English speaker or equivalent
•    Working competency in at least one other major language (eg, German, Spanish, Chinese) is a plus
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism or Marketing Communication welcome
•    A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in a marcom/marketing/digital communications department and/or agency
•    Exceptional copywriting and design skills
•    Solid, up-to-date experience and understanding of core brand and design principles and tools
•    Strong expertise in leading, optimizing and driving digital platforms, social media resources and channels
•    Experience in working with digital platforms for content development and publishing is a plus
•    Experience in executing strategies for key business projects
•    Change management within one or more dynamic, global organizations
