The Role
You will be an active link between our Design Organisation and Production Organisation by supporting the "design to manufacture" approach within the engineering process and transferring engineering data, drawings and BOMs into Manufacturing Orders, and you will perform production planning and design and procure manufacturing jigs and tools as required.
You will report initially to the Production Manager.
Specifically, you will be responsible to:
proactively support and foster the "design to manufacture" and "design to cost" attitude within H55 engineering process, in all project phases;
support the definition, evaluation and procurement of parts and components used in H55 products to optimize lead times and production effort;
transfer the received engineering data into Manufacturing Orders within our ERP system "odoo" by defining suitable production process steps both in-house and subcontracted;
define with the Production team the necessary production jigs and tools and design / draw them and procure them accordingly;
continuously monitor and propose how to improve the production capabilities in terms of quality and on-time delivery, overall cost, innovation, and compliance criteria.
Your Experience
You have a track record in a similar role as a manufacturing or planning engineer in technology focused industries such as automotive, railway, electronics or aeronautics.
Specifically, this includes:
University degree in mechanical or electric/electronics engineering with related production experience, or vice versa;
minimum 5 years of related aviation experience, ideally in a combination of engineering and production experience;
experience in automatic / semi-automatic production processes;
experience in conceiving and designing production jigs and fixtures;
proven success in driving overall performance and operational excellence is an asset;
demonstrated knowledge of EASA regulatory framework (DOA, POA, MOA) is an asset.

to be comfortable in dealing with colleagues and higher management, and with local and global suppliers and subcontractors;
to be fluent in English (written and oral) and French (oral); German is an additional asset.
