With a vision to accelerate sustainability in motor sport, the Sustainability Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of the FIA Environmental Strategy 2020-2030.


MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


The focus on this role will be on the follow-up and reporting on the progress of the strategy, the management of the organisation's carbon footprint and the development of a training programme for FIA members. In particular, the role will be structured around the following assignments:



  • Implement the FIA Environmental Strategy 2020–2030, including budget, communication, partnerships, reporting and internal/external stakeholders.



  • Assist in the management of the FIA Environment and Sustainability Commission and support its working groups.



  • Develop a training programme for the FIA’s 245 worldwide Members aimed at increasing internal capacity and expertise in environmental sustainability.



  • Follow-up on the FIA Administration’s carbon footprint reduction measures.



  • Coordinate end-of-year reporting on the different actions implemented in 2020 and their impact.



  • Develop and execute communication plans and strategies around FIA environmental projects and programmes aimed at increasing internal and external visibility.


PROFILE:



  • Graduate or post-graduate degree in environmental management or a related field (such as carbon management, energy, etc.).

  • 5–10 PQE in sustainability/environmental strategy implementation, with significant experience in the sports sector strongly desirable.

  • Proven and successful experience in carbon footprint management, environmental management systems (ISO14001) and sustainability reporting (GRI).

  • Excellent command of English and French, a third language would be an asset.

  • Understanding of key sustainability concepts and tools such as Life Cycle Analysis and Circular Economy.

  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office).

  • Customer focused and service-oriented approach, with excellent coordination and organisational skills.

  • Ability to work in a complex, political, demanding, and dynamic working environment.

  • Ability to develop strong and respectful relations with multiple partners in a multicultural environment.
