Geographic Information System Engineer

Our GBTS Hardware & Geographical Information System (GIS) department has an immediate opening for a GIS Engineer.

What you do:

• Manage, coordinate and conduct the complete lifecycle of Geographical Information System (GIS) data production for Pilatus training systems projects and products


• Develop the necessary technical requirement specifications, detailed data requirements, verification and validation documents


• Perform data collection and/or manage its procurement as the technical point of contact for GIS data suppliers


• Process the GIS data (vector files, elevation data, charts, maps) using ArcGIS, QGIS and Global Mapper software tools to prepare the necessary databases and data packs


• Perform data installation and validation on the target platforms either at Pilatus or at customer site

What you bring:

• Proven experience in Geographical Information System and geographical data analysis theory and practice


• Proficient in the use of Geographical Information Data tools (ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS or similar)


• Experience in satellite imagery processing and enhancement


• High level of English proficiency (C1 minimum), spoken and written
