(Senior) DevOps Engineer

As a "DevOps Engineer Messaging" you are responsible for the automation of processes. Your responsibilities will encompass delivering high quality production and test platform, supporting regular agile releases. You will work in operations as well as in projects to develop and enhance our technologies even further. As a valuable member of the team you will support the daily business, find solutions together and present your working achievements. If you are a DevOps Engineer who is comfortable with coding, scripting and interested in building out tools and infrastructure focused on system level availability, agility, transparency and scalability, then we have the right challenge for you.

What You Will Do

• End2End Responsibility of our Shared Messaging (IBM-MQ) Infrastructure


• improve scalability, service reliability, capacity, and performance 


• write automation code for operating our messaging infrastructure and consult and execute orders with customer support


• design, deploy and administer a highly available platform services and the DevOps tools


• monitor, recommend and fine tune metrics of production systems with a keen eye for potential risks to stability

What You Bring

• strong DevOps mindset with capability of building tools for yourself and others to increase efficiency and to make hard or repetitive tasks easy and quick


• good experience in programming in Java or Go and at least one scripting language – additional experience in IBM MQ or similar middleware technology would be highly appreciated 


• experience with automation, configuration management and CI/CD and know how in Splunk, Jenkins, GIT, Confluence/Jira is helpful


• comfortable in collaborating in a cross functional working environment and great communication skills in order to solve complex problems and to pursue opportunities - flexibility and availability for on-call duties (Pikett)


• English is a must, German language is a plus
