Broadcast Technician (f/m/d)

Purpose of Position


As a member of the IT team working as the Broadcast Technician reporting to the Group IT Director, you will play a vital part in driving forward our use of online broadcasting technologies to deliver internal/external virtual and in-person events/meetings. As a key escalation point for internal audiences you will ensure all internal and external virtual and in-person events are efficiently produced and managed, providing technical expertise across an array of platforms, specifically Microsoft Teams and Vimeo. You will be responsible for creating, editing and producing on-brand video content and evangelising webinars and livestreaming across the business. You will be part of a team supporting c.1000 employees across multiple geographic locations.


Key Tasks



  • Coordinate and manage all internal/external virtual events and webinars from pre to post event

  • Act as producer for company all-hands meetings

  • Produce company podcasts

  • Prepare and deliver on-boarding and education to colleagues, empowering them to run their own virtual events and webinars using standardised software and on-brand templates/scenes

  • Develop a standardised process for effective global roll out of virtual events and webinars

  • Be a source of truth across the business for virtual event broadcasting

  • Create proof of concept for audio/video asset delivery to ensure consistent branding across all virtual events and webinars

  • Liaise closely with our Marketing department ensuring videos/virtual events are on-brand

  • Ensure continuous improvement of our online events and webinars through utilising the latest technologies and liaising with third parties


Skills & Expertise



  • Experience with Microsoft Teams

  • Experience of broadcasting tools and services such as OBS, Vimeo, YouTube

  • Experience of video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects

  • Experience of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint

  • Knowledge of broadcasting hardware such as cameras, audio mixers, lighting

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure

  • Highly motivated, organised with good attention to detail with the ability to exchange information with others clearly and concisely
