Vifor Pharma is currently undergoing unprecedented growth and portfolio expansion and our IT department is evolving and transforming in its key role as strategic partner to the Business. Within our IT Team at our operational HQ in Glattbrugg/Zurich, we created a new role and have an exciting open position as Enterprise Architect Business. 

This is a great opportunity to be a driver in the expansion and transformation of Vifor Pharma. In this role with international exposure, you will be collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders at global level and across IT. You will be driving and help shaping the strategy in key areas of the business and align within IT Solution Management and Solution Architecture groups and functions.

Your main accountabilities will be:

• Develop and maintain a business architecture strategy based on business scenarios, capabilities and motivations


• Describe the primary business functions of the enterprise and distinguish related different business domains and capabilities


• Define strategic, core, and support processes that transcend functional and organizational boundaries


• Identify and describe external entities such as customers, suppliers, and external systems that interact with the business; and describe which people, resources, and controls are involved in the processes


• Business architecture governance and related principles


• Own related IT processes and capabilities


• Align and be valued partner for business and solution architects within solution architecture teams

For this exciting role, we are looking for candidates who bring proactive and business driven mindset. You are able to talk business language within multiple domains and understand related IT technologies. In addition, you understand technical details. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders in order to form holistic and integrated IT business roadmaps. Following requirements complete the ideal candidate profile: 

• Master degree in Computer Science and/or Business Administration (or equivalent) and a preference for an additional education in Business Administration


• Minimum 8 years of progressive IT experience and leadership within the Life Science industry in similar positions


• Specific knowledge in at least three areas of Manufacturing/SCM/Procurement, Finance & Controlling, Scientific, Sales & Marketing, Analytics/BI


• Experience in managing and using EA tools, process management and business capability based roadmap building


• Hands-on experience in project-program-portfolio management and delivery models waterfall / agile


• At least 5 years’ leadership experience in managing a matrix IT Function


• Experience in managing cross-functional relationship management, is an additional asset


• Experience in new and innovation technologies, like data as an asset, AI themes, is an additional asset


• Excellent written and spoken English, German desired, any other language a plus
