About the Role


 


This role takes the global lead on any matters concerning derivatives trading for various commodities and is responsible for overseeing several trading books, as well as overseeing compliance, risk and finance related matters. Effective stakeholder management is key to this role, managing internal stakeholders such as origin, physical traders, pricing and sales, risk and finance as well as external stakeholders such as brokers, customers and other traders.


 


 


Key Responsibilities include:


 


●    Heading and developing the Global Team of Derivative Traders


●    Global coordination of the various derivative desks and overseeing the activities


●    Global overview and lead on positions and P&Ls for all derivative books


●    Define trading, sourcing and pricing strategies


●    Act as center of expertise on all questions concerning operative risk management, commodities, markets, exchanges and associated regulations


●    Overseeing the hedge books, structure and arbitrage positions


●    Organizing and acting as main point of contact towards brokers and helping to defining external partners and managing related terms and conditions


●    Act as prime source of Market Intelligence


●    Working together and supporting sales, procurement, physical trading teams, finance & external customers, providing insights and solutions


●    Ensuring our systems and tools are of the latest standard and best-in-class


 


About You


 


●    Trading and commodity background


●    Master degree in finance / accounting


●    Strong Analytical mindset


●    Ability to see the big strategic picture and details


●    Exposure and understanding of the physical side of the commodity business


●    Strong people and stakeholder management skills


●    Ability to break complex matters down for people to understand


●    Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels


●    English a must; any other language a plus
