Randstad Inhouse Services is looking for a Sales & Operations - Center of Excellence Specialist (m/f/d) for Lonza AG (100%). This is a temporary position for 24 months. The position is based in Basel, remote work also possible.

In this role, you will perform all duties to ensure the monthly S&OP processes are completed to support the Integrated Business Planning. Furthermore, you will be accountable for implementing and enforcing global S&OP processes and tools to support business planning in fulfilling all business KPI’s: Service, Revenue, Cost (Profitability) and Inventory. You will drive implementation of agreed S&OP blueprint (organization, processes & activities, roles and responsibilities). You will also be accountable for the demand planning & management, supply planning, plan execution, and you will continuously support data accuracy at quality standards.


Key responsibilities



  • Acting as first line of contact between SC Transformation and Divisional Leadership Team (Commercial, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain Organization) and liaise with all relevant stakeholders and functions to ensure IBP Demand & Supply plan represents consensus 


  • Deploy S&OP processes, policies, tools, methodologies through communication and training to enable continuous improvement of the Division KPIs.


  • Secure process adherence in Division (tracking and assessment)


  • Enable these processes through tools in alignment with existing systems.


  • Sustain Divisional S&OP through training new team members and Liaise with the GSCM V – Sustain to improve the S&OP training package


  • Division knowledge user on SAP/IBP and acting as interface between Division and CoE 


  • Drive Division integrated planning improvement initiatives and connect with CoE 


  • Ensuring the IBP tool is used to its full potential 


  • Review demand & Supply related KPIs and use as basis for planning improvement initiatives including analytics knowledge/capability to provide effective reports


  • Deep understanding of the data flows between all systems used in driving business results: IBP, SAP, BW, SFDC, Omni, etc. to troubleshoot or analyze



Key requirements:



  • University degree (MSc preferred) in Business Management / Supply Chain Management


  • Extensive work experience in the area of Sales & Operations


  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages advantageous


  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to define metrics (KPI’s) and identify issues through root cause analysis


  • Strong statistics skills and ability to define and select models fit to Divisional process


  • Ability to influence business Functional leaders to support Demand Planning/Management and S&OP initiatives


  • Good communication and presentation skills. Ability to present ideas in a clear and concise manner


  • Ability to develop and deliver training material to a wide multicultural audience


  • Competent using MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint


  • Ability to utilise Business Intelligence systems to extract data and generate reports


  • Ability to use IBP Demand Planning system and identify the tool is being used correctly
