Develop and execute product marketing strategies, activities and future products. Partner closely with the regional marketing and sales teams across Western Europe and the global upstream and downstream marketing team based in the USA, in developing and implementing local, tactical marketing and sales support activities. Work cross functionally and contributes to an innovative and inspiring work environment. Collaborates with her peer in the PV  business(Peripheral Embolization products)  to enable cross business focus on Interventional Radiologists and Vascular Surgeons.


 


A Day in the Life



  • Coaches and develops the Marketing Organization, the direct reports and the teams in the countries.

  • Plan and coordinate the development and implementation of both tactical and strategic region-wide marketing campaigns in cooperation marketing teams.

  • Drive localization and country implementation ensuring long range plans are linked to fiscal performance goals, corporate objectives and reach financial targets.



  • Work closely with country and global marketing and sales partners, develop and execute differentiated and impactful competitive strategy.

  • Represent the WE region as a partner with our global marketing team to ensure regional market needs are incorporated into global marketing plan.

  • Participate in the design of yearly Marketing Plans and actively tracks and foster execution through the OU Marketing organization.

  • Marketing Research & Sales Analysis - Initiate, manage and summarize market research and studies to determine customer beliefs and advise management of relevant market trends.

  • Analyze the market, competition, environment, sales and marketing strategies. Proactively act as an agent for change to adapt to external / internal change factors.

  • Work and align with relevant stakeholders to define pricing strategies, market introductions and the development and implementation of all related marketing programs.



  • Define and deliver innovative product promotional campaigns supporting global brand guidance. Ensure that collateral reflects the needs in the countries and that it is clearly used in the field.

  • Participate in training of sales personnel (product specific), securing the implementation of marketing programs.

  • Customer Relationships - Meet with customers to discuss market, products, trends or needs and obtain their input. Strengthen customer focused partnerships through Medtronic exclusive initiatives i.e. advisory boards, focus groups etc.

  • Supports the development and execution of customer related events, such as Congresses or Medtronic initiated events, in close collaboration with the Training and Education Program team and MARCOM support.

  • Identify business growth opportunities and unmet customer requirements and provide vision and focus to move ideas to market place.

  • Monthly supply and demand forecast input and plan for complete portfolio.

  • Review campaign progress against budget and metrics on on-going basis and revise plans and institute corrective action as appropriate.

  • Ensure regulatory requirements are met.

  • Assess patient pathway and recommend best target audience for sales and marketing programs as well as best sales channel to serve this target audience.


Must Have



  • Master degree in Life-science, Marketing or Business Administration or another relevant, advanced degree

  • Minimum of 8  years of marketing experience

  • International and people management experience

  • Experience in Direct to Consumer products

  • Prior medical device or pharmaceutical sales management experience highly preferred

  • Strong experience in market development and  in digital marekting is a plus

  • Proven strong commercial and business acumen (analytical / strategic) with the strategic vision to drive and maximize profitability

  • Business builder: Self-starter with pragmatic approach

  • Must be able to demonstrate deep understanding of the customer to drive, challenge and push thinking

  • Out of the box thinking with proven job skills in business planning / consulting and financial analysis

  • Ability to execute sales & marketing strategies in a complex, multi-faceted environment

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation skills; team oriented; conceptual/consultative skills

  • Ability to exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions


 


Nice to Have



  • Knowledge of the market and related therapies is a plus

  • Comfortable in dynamic environment and in establishing new businesses; startup experience is a plus
