Marketing Manager Active Category (m/f/d) 100%

Inseriert am: 20.07.2021

Are you an expert at developing and executing strategy on how a brand attracts, engages, and builds a meaningful relationship with new audiences? Are you ready to collaborate with other curious minds to drive to adoption of bikes by empowering people to ride for all life journeys, including health, recreation and transportation? Do you enjoy the challenge of leading a multi-disciplinary team to find and capitalize on marketing and communications opportunities in authentic and engaging ways? Sounds like you?

To strengthen our Marketing Team located in Cham (ZG), Switzerland, we are seeking a Marketing Manager Active Category to commence immediately or by agreement.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

We’ve reached a tipping point. Cities from Bogota to Berlin are re-thinking road space with an eye toward two wheels instead of four, and we’ve entered the golden age of the bicycle.

The benefits of the bicycle have never been more relevant or more important. The increasing influence of e-Bikes and other micro mobility solutions are replacing the car for many short-distance trips, unhindered by traffic, the search for parking, and costly monthly payments. Bikes, electric or otherwise, directly combat the pressing dangers of climate change by eliminating the most carbon intensive car trips (short ones) and helps to alleviate public health threats such as air pollution and increasing rates of physical inactivity.

The Specialized team is driving hard for change and has ambitious plans to meet this unique moment. You’ll be a part of a global team, working closely with our team in Morgan Hill, CA and our Turbo E-bike innovation team based in Cham, Switzerland.

How you’ll make a difference

  • You’ll serve as a driving voice and leader at the company by defining the global marketing strategy for our Active category. Think of this as the largest and most diverse group of riders that we serve. From commuters to joy riders and everything in-between, you’ll be responsible for being the voice of the rider for this essential category.

  • Define the marketing and program objectives, drive the vision and lead the implementation of successful go-to-market and ongoing marketing strategies across bikes, equipment + apparel, and brand activations for the category

  • Partner with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders including creative services, digital + ecommerce, product, merchandising, supply, and sales to facilitate the complete progression from insight to consumer messaging and go-to-market executions, to ongoing community and rider engagement.

  • Connect with our riders and retailers base to gather actionable insights that will help adopt the appropriate strategies to reach target audiences and promote the category vision to existing and new riders.

  • Develop strong and collaborative relationships with worldwide teammates to extend the reach and impact of your work

  • Develop measurement strategies for the team’s work that help to prioritize what the team spends it’s time on without locking the team into overly generic marketing work

What you need to win

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing or related field

  • 5+ years of product, brand, or other B2C marketing experience

  • Background in Public Relations in the non-endemic field (Health, Fitness and Leisure etc.)

  • Strategic expert with strong hands-on-mentality

  • Experience in working with international teams (internal and external) on developing and executing impactful marketing campaigns

  • Ability to motivate, lead, negotiate and influence, especially with cross-functional teams

  • Proven track record of planning and executing global strategies, budget development, and creative problem solving

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to easily articulate a vision and inspire others to see your point of view

  • Ability to multitask effectively among different projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Willingness to international travel (10%)

  • Excellent English skills (written and spoken), German is a plus

What we offer: We are a dynamic and multicultural team within an innovative and growing environment. You can look forward to a modern working space, lunch rides, social security- and many other benefits.
