About the Role


Working with corporate and unit-specific marketing groups create engaging and on-brand graphics for collateral, email, web, social, and PowerPoint presentations. Gain an understanding of Genedata’s solutions for digitalizing biopharma R&D and creatively translate this into compelling designs which convey our messages about the scientific, technical, and business benefits of adopting and using our platforms.


The right candidate will be creative, flexible, fast-paced, and self-directed and capable of managing projects with minimal supervision while performing multiple tasks in parallel. You bring a passion for design, proficient conceptual ability, and a creative touch. You will be responsible for creating design solutions from concept to completion in a wide range of graphic applications including the web, print, online materials, as well as event booth and signage. 


This position is based at our headquarters in Basel, Switzerland. The position might initially be offered on a part-time basis for the right candidate.


Your Responsibilities



  • Collaborate with product-specific marketing teams, corporate, and other internal customers to understand business needs/objectives and translate them into engaging visual assets that support business challenges/priorities and technology concepts

  • Work with teams to create compelling, on-brand designs and layouts for product collateral, email campaigns, landing pages, digital and print ads, whitepapers, posters, social, and website

  • Develop engaging PowerPoint graphics for sales and scientific presentations with fresh designs that support messaging to win over external audiences

  • Create event graphics for tradeshows and corporate events, including booth graphics, signage and banners

  • Take photography and/or video internally and during events to support website and marketing campaigns

  • Collaborate across groups and disciplines to ensure final graphics and layouts across all business units are visually appealing and on-brand

  • Coordinate projects with outside agencies and freelance designers as needed


Skills & Experience



  • Proven graphic design experience and ability to work with design software and technologies (such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop as well as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint) on PC platform

  • A strong portfolio of artwork, illustrations, and other graphics that demonstrate ability to translate scientific or technical information into compelling and easy-to-understand designs.

  • Experience designing and formatting (for print and online execution) all marketing collateral, advertising, and presentations

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders including marketers and scientists

  • Ability to prioritize, organize, work methodically, and meet deadlines under pressure and with changing priorities

  • A keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail

  • Good communications skills in English

  • Degree in Design, Fine Arts, or related field and/or scientific or technical background a plus
