In a small multi-cultural agile team, you implement new use cases using open source technologies. You design new architecture patterns, ingest new data sources, improve our DevOps environment, explore new technologies and share your knowledge.

2/3The project

Based on a provided big data platform, you build and maintain data stream applications from different sources (like Web or CRM) and expose real-time actionable insights through APIs ready to be consumed by other services.

• You continuously improve the architecture to be cloud-agnostic


• You implement a real-time search index on the customer journey


• You improve the CI/CD for the big-data pipeline

As a Big Data Software Engineer, you improve customer experience by building data-driven services based on customer activities. This is what you bring with you:

Your professional profile

• Degree (ETH/Uni/UAS) or similar qualification in computer science, information technology, or a similar field


• Solid experience in architecture design and backend software development using Scala and/or Java

• Experience in building data pipelines using big data technologies is a plus (Flink, Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, Cassandra)


• DevOps mindset and experience with its technologies (Ansible, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana)

What else sets you apart

• Fast learner and communicative personality


• Able to work independently in a small agile team

• Enthusiasm for agile approach (e.g. SAFe)
