Software Development Engineer

The business unit Automation, Navigation, Communication within Voyage Solutions is looking for a self-driven and motivated Software Development Engineer (m/f) in the field of Technology. This position is located at Wärtsilä SAM Electronics in Hamburg, Germany.

 

Your responsibilites are:

- Software development covering all development phases according to the respective specification for complex embedded systems

- Creating of relevant documentation

- Definition of specification for technical documentation, review of documentation before release-implementation of the project

  targets as to costs, performance and deadline
- Providing support for sub systems, design checks for prototypes
- Providing support and further development of SW during software life cycle
- Permanent qualification/training on new methods, tools, processes

 

Requirements:

- completed studies in computer sciences, eletrical engineering with focus on SW development or similar education

- app. 3 years of relevant experience

- good english skills spoken and written (technical english)

- sound knowledge in C#, Windows-applications, Visual studio, Team Foundation Server

- knowledge in C++/ OOP / UML and Sotware Designs Tools

- knowledge in GUI-Designs and Data-base Design

- knowledge in network / TCP/ IP

- good communications skills

- Target-oriented way of working

- Decisve and self-driven

- Imaginative and ability to think beyond borders
