Head of Market Development & Innovation, Region Greater South & East

Market Development



  • Prioritize and implement a development plan of existing or innovation products across relevant application areas (crops, animals, forestry)

  • Identify applications and geographies where Omya products can demonstrate attractive value to end-users

  • Assist the selection and development the distribution partners of Omya products

  • Lead and train internal and distribution personnel on technical issues

  • Support value pricing by clarifying the benefits of the products


Innovation Process



  • Drive regional specific adaptation of new products

  • Coordinate pilot/scale-up activities in the region

  • Implement research or trial plan with influential organization


Data management



  • Develop a network for technical and market intelligence to inform business decisions

  • Work closely with global Innovation personnel to ensure gathered data is shared and fully utilized.


Communication



  • Organize marketing communication materials and training of sales teams for both new and for established products

  • Prioritize and active participation in trade shows and conferences

  • Dialogue with trade associations, academia and technical functions within key customers
    Communicate professional development needs and action



  • ​Academic degree in agronomy, animal nutrition or other area relevant to agriculture business

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant business experience in agriculture/forestry

  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and demonstrated success in product management or business development

  • Project management skills - proven track record of successful execution of complex projects

  • Effective leadership and communication competencies, ability to interact effectively and sensitively with individuals from a range of backgrounds and at all levels

  • Very good command of English (written and spoken). Additional languages are a plus
