During normal lifetime, OACR are subject to a variety of electrical, mechanical and thermal stresses. One of the most critical situation is that caused by the vibration induced by the vortex effect due to the wind. Such vibrations can cause mechanical stresses on the support and structural welding of the assembly. The scope of this work is to set up an automatic calculation procedure based on the finite element method that can be easily used by a designer with no specific experience in structural analysis.
2019-01-31Praktikum- Creation of the parametric model based on the existing design rules for OACR
- Create an ANSYS shell for the creation of the finite element model
- Analysis of the results and set up of the calculation method to be used by designer
- Final report with detailed description of the analysis procedure
- Currently studying in an engineering discipline (Aerospace engineering or similar)
- Background in aeroelasticity prefered
- Experience with Computational fluid-dynamics (CFD) and structural analysis
- Fluency in English
- Software skills in ANSYS and Fluent
- Ability to work independently
