The company trades mainly Global Specialty medicines & Branded Generics Products with many markets in EU and the US. The company is also hosting the trading hub for our Latin American markets. The company is engaged in Research and Development through its R&D hub based in Basel, it is also engaged in manufacturing and sales activities which are coordinated out from its headquarter in Jona.

Business PurposeTeva Pharmaceuticals International GmbH is looking for a Director Pricing International Markets, developing pricing strategies to meet customers' needs while providing a profit for the organization, and determining core business costs of service in support of pricing development. Other core duties include designing, implementing and maintaining pricing infrastructures, evaluating the effectiveness of pricing strategies, modifying pricing structures as needed, providing reporting and documentation of pricing structures, and serving as the point-of-contact for pricing inquiries from the internal sales department, and customers. 


Main Responsibilities

  • Build a Center of Excellence for the pricing practice across International Markets

  • Set up and maintain a governance structure across International Markets to facilitate the effective management of challenges related to International Reference Pricing

  • Review, re-establish and manage or facilitate processes related to pricing to ensure transparent leverage of opportunities

  • Participate and play an active role in pricing related projects run by the EU/IM Strategic Projects and Alliances group, namely on G2N optimization, and facilitate subsequent implementation of recommendations in the markets

  • Run other ad hoc projects on pricing and pricing-related data to identify business upsides (scope: tender prices, non-regulated/consumer prices) 

  • Gather intelligence and multi-country insights

  • Provide direct value to clusters and countries by sharing relevant knowledge of non-regulated competitive pricing

  • Train country and cluster decision makers on best practices related to state-of-the-art pricing

  • In collaboration with Global Market Access and European Pricing, build and maintain a scalable database of product prices to pre-empt referencing pressure and facilitate mitigation


Requirements

  • You have a Degree in Business Administration/Economics and 3-7 years of experience in a similar role (operations, global supply chain planning, logistics or procurement) preferably within the pharma industry

  • Academic and professional background in business, analytics, and/or marketing with a strong history in pricing

  • Preferably experience in a leading pricing consultancy including exposure to pharmaceutical and FMCG pricing 

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills 

  • Ideally understanding of pharmaceutical business models and pricing environment

  • Significant experience in leading as well as contributing to projects of significant scale

  • Good knowledge of data types typically available in the industry and specifically in Teva

  • Excellent communication skills, preferably with experience in selling complex service project findings to company executives

  • Proven ability to influence business decision makers without hierarchical power

  • Proven track record of implementing change programs

  • Fluent in English, any other language is considered an asset
